Transformation Mapping and Process

Transformation begins by remembering how to listen carefully.

When we re-attune to the to the body and the earth our direction is clear: Needs, emotions, boundaries and desires emerge easily and expressed with grace. The path becomes clear and inevitable.

Effective Communication

Most sessions being with just understanding what your actual challenges are and how you are making sense of them. This process helps clients to feel heard, understood and safe. It helps me as a practitioner to understand what you are navigating and the specific challenges and opportunities at hand.

It also provides you with the embodied experience of having someone listen to really understand your unique perspective and experience. For many people this process along is incredibly transformative.

Grounding and Deepening

Sessions sometimes include practices that are rooted in mindfulness, Polyvagal Trauma theory, Kundalini Yoga, Qi Gong and Feldenkrais Method.

These activities usually include breath and gentle movement to improve nervous system regulation and a client’s ability to attune to themself.

This process can help clients center in the present moment and their intuitive wisdom, helping the session to be more long-lasting in impact.

Relational Connection

Many sessions will also include an embodied relational practice. This could include role play, embodiment practices and communication exercises.

As a practitioner I use my own body, emotions and excitement to help clients expand their ability to communicate and have their needs met. When consensual and appropriate practices may include touch.

I use Somatica®, Hakomi, Indigenous Psychology and Eco-somatics to help clients expand beyond their growth edges in a loving, safe and nurturing environment.

Vision and Expansion

I also integrate principles of Beyond Quantum Hypnosis Technique, Playback Theatre Ecstatic Trance (Nauwald), Uto-Aztecan song, ritual and story telling, visualization and art creation to support clients in communicating with and transforming the subconscious.

These practices re-wire old and outdated neural pathways and create possibility for new possibilities to emerge, finally breaking old cycles and thought loops. The process is iterative and may be repeated numerous times with an individual over a series of sessions.

This work is educational, relational, somatic, and spiritually informed in nature.

I am a guide, not an expert. You know you. My role is to strengthen your self awareness, embodiment, communication, emotional resilience, and relational capacity so that you can live your best life.

My practice is informed by principles of indigenous psychology but it is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, crisis care, or a replacement for licensed mental health support. I am not a licensed practitioner in the field of psychotherapy.

Our ancestors knew the transformative and highly practical power of connecting to the earth, listening to our bodies and connecting to source. My process about liberating how we make meaning so that all of us feel free and safe to step into our highest, and most authentic self expression.

Organizational, Time and Financial Planning

I use executive and strategic planning techniques to support you (and your family or organization) in making sense of all the pieces in the big picture. When applicable we can do a time and money audit, helping you to bring a somatic and pleasurable experience into the nitty gritty planning of the nuts and bolts.

This process is highly influenced by my practice as a community based, arts based and decolonial researcher. When applicable we can also bring other members of your family or team into these meetings to identify if there are relational or communicational challenges that can be addressed to improve the overall communication and relational trust to identify blocks and optimize outcomes.

Integration and Patterning

Sometimes I will also include a small Dharma talk and offer you instructions for homework to do between sessions.

This process is unique in that it offers you a chance to hear where I see patterns that may be replicating and where there may be a possibility to disrupt the cycles.

My reflections are simply opinions and observations based upon my unique experience but some people find this part of the session to be extremely valuable.

It is often in these last 10 minutes of a session that people will have their most profound insights and realizations, as we, together, make meaning from the session.
